Changing or cancelling your plan
Moving up, moving down, stopping, and what happens to your conversations either way.
Settings → Plan. You need to be an owner.
Moving up
Takes effect immediately. You are charged the difference for the rest of the period rather than a full price twice, and whatever you upgraded for is available at once.
Moving down
Also immediate, and this is the part worth understanding:
Nothing you already have is taken away. A workspace on Pro with five websites that drops to Starter keeps all five. It simply will not let you add a sixth. The same goes for members: nobody is removed to fit the new seat count.
The limits apply to the next thing you add, not to what exists. We are not going to delete your work because you changed plan.
History is the exception to watch. Retention is capped by plan, so moving to a plan that keeps less means older closed conversations become eligible for deletion. If you need them, export what you need before you downgrade rather than after.
Cancelling
Cancel in the billing portal. The plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, then drops to Free. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.
On Free you keep your workspace, your websites and your team, within the free limits. You see the last thirty days of conversations.
Deleting the workspace
Different thing, and permanent. Settings → Danger zone, owners only. It removes the workspace and everything in it: every website, contact, conversation and uploaded file. Immediate, and it cannot be undone.
Cancel if you want to stop paying. Delete only if you want it gone.
Yearly
Yearly is ten months for twelve. If you are switching from monthly to yearly partway through, the balance is worked out for you rather than lost.
VAT
Prices exclude VAT. UK orders have it added at checkout; outside the UK nothing is added and the listed price is what you pay. Your invoices are in the billing portal, see updating your billing details.
