I'm not receiving emails from Talkfront

We send a handful of things by email: invitations, notifications about missed chats, password resets, and receipts. If none of them are arriving, it is usually one of four things.

1. Check the spam folder first

Genuinely. It is the answer often enough to be worth the ten seconds, and particularly for invitations, which arrive unexpectedly and look like exactly the sort of thing a filter dislikes.

If you find one there, mark it as not spam. That usually fixes the rest.

2. Check the address

Settings → Profile for your own. For an invitation, check what it was sent to rather than what you meant to type: an invitation to a mistyped address holds a seat and never arrives.

You can cancel and resend from Settings → Team.

3. Check your notification settings

If it is only chat notifications that are missing, you may have turned them off rather than not received them. See choosing what you get told about and why you’re not getting notifications, which covers the several separate switches involved.

4. Ask whoever runs your mail

On a company domain, a filter you cannot see may be holding them. This is the most common cause when one person in a team gets everything and another gets nothing, on the same domain.

Ask for mail from talkfront.app to be allowed. If they want specifics, we can supply the sending domain and the records that authenticate it.

A note on missed-chat emails

These are sent to agents about conversations nobody answered, and they are deliberately not immediate: a message arriving the second a chat starts would mean an email for every chat you answer normally. If you are expecting one the instant somebody writes, that is not what it is.

Still nothing

Email us from a different address, if you have one: support@talkfront.app. Tell us the address that is not receiving and roughly when you expected something, and we can see what happened to it at our end.
