Using Talkfront on iOS and Android

The mobile apps, what they are for, and where to get them.

The iPhone and Android apps are finished and going to the App Store and Google Play shortly. The apps page carries the download links, and they will appear there as each store approves the listing.

Like the desktop app, they are free on every plan including the free one.

What they are for

Not doing your whole job from a phone. Knowing, and answering the one that cannot wait.

  • Being told. A notification that reaches you when you are not at a desk, which is the entire reason to have it. See turning on notifications on your phone.
  • A quick reply. Answering the chat that would otherwise sit until morning.
  • Checking the queue. Whether anything is waiting, without opening a laptop.

Everything is the same inbox. Read state, assignment and drafts follow you between devices, so picking up on a laptop what you started on a phone is not a transfer, it is the same conversation.

Signing in

You do not have to type a password with your thumbs. If you are already signed in at a desk, scan a code from the panel. A passkey is the other fast route, using your face or fingerprint.

Until they are in the stores

The web app works properly in a phone browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens without browser chrome. Browser notifications and a sound cover most of what the app gives you.

The one thing a browser cannot do is reach you once it is closed, which is the gap the apps fill.

When they land

We will email everyone with an account, so there is no waiting list to join and nothing to watch for.
